Your adventure thus far at REW?

I've only been here for a few months but my experience so far has been great! Everyone is great to work and hang out with. I was very happy there was a big social on my second Friday so I could meet everyone. I am also really happy with the direction my team and the department generally are moving in, and I think we've already made so much progress on the data platform even since I've been here.

But what I actually do is

We on the data platform team are basically rebuilding the data pipeline from the ground up to be more resilient, fault-tolerant, and modern. I was brought onto the data platform team for my recent experience in infrastructure engineering. Currently my big project is designing the infrastructure-as-code portion of the new pipeline.

Biggest real estate adventure?

Perhaps one day I will win the lottery.

Biggest adventure, period?

In late 2017, I packed my life into three suitcases and moved across the country to Vancouver without a job lined up.
